Getting Ready to Build

| Under Construction
A popular fast-food franchise used to stand on a corner near my house. Over time the business faltered, and it eventually closed. It no longer served its purpose. Recently, after the building had been sitting vacant for months, the property owners finally did something about it. I'm guessing that there are new owners, and they realized that in order to make use of this prime location, they would have to tear the building down, and start over. I noticed the demolition after it was well underway. The bulldozers and dump trucks have been hard at work, and now the place is almost level. It made me pause to think about how wise the new owners are. That particular area has never been very successful with fast-food, but that does not minimize the quality of the location. It is going to take hard work, leveling the structure and building again from the ground up, to really use the real estate well. But I would guess it will be very profitable in the long run. Our lives are often very similar. Although we are prime real estate, we too might have material things or habitual actions that no longer serve a positive purpose in our lives. Just |
because they have become part of the landscape does not mean they necessarily need to stay. Right? So how about you? Are there things in your life that are just no longer serving you? What are they? What would it take for you to make steps toward doing something about them? What benefits could there be in your life if you were to take on a reconstruction project in some of these areas? Try to take some time this month to review your life's landscape. You are just one step away from starting a reconstruction project that could be very profitable to you and to those around you.
